Make Music This Summer with Bloomingdale’s Summer Orchestra

Ages 10 - 18+ | Wednesdays at 5:30 PM | July 9 - August 13

Ready to play, connect, and grow this summer? Join the Bloomingdale Summer Orchestra, a dynamic ensemble experience for intermediate to advanced young musicians (NYSSMA Level 2 and above) — led by conductor Conrad Chu.

Over six fun and focused rehearsals, students will:

Enjoy playing a wide range of styles, from classical through jazz/contemporary

Cultivate mutual listening, harmonizing, and synchronizing to a conductor’s beat

Perform as collaborators with a sense of community, the basis for a well-rounded music education

Make music with new friends in a welcoming, low-pressure setting

Open to: String, woodwind, brass, and percussion players, ages 10 through adult

Tuition: $120 for the full 6-week session ($20 per rehearsal)

Rehearsals: Wednesdays at 5:30 PM, July 9 to August 13 at Bloomingdale School of Music
